Meet The Team

Paul started his career in Landscaping when he left school in 1982, following in his father’s agricultural and horticultural footsteps.

He moved to Devon in 2018 following a long and successful period in London running his project management company, working on exclusive landscape projects such as 33 King William Street, The National Army Museum, One Tower Bridge and many others.

Since moving to Devon, Paul has continued his career by building Atlantes Landscapes into highly successful, multi-disciplinary landscaping company working on projects throughout the South West.

Paul is the Managing Director of Atlantes Landscapes and is also the head designer of the company.

Paul’s expertise has been used by public and private clients on projects ranging through parks, educational, retail, museums, rural and countryside.

Paul also sits on the BALI (British Association of Landscape Industries) adjudication panel for new designers wishing to join the association as a registered designer and is also a designer member of the Society of Garden Designers and BALI.

Neil is an enthusiastic, self-motivated, and driven Contracts Manager with 17 years’ experience in commercial landscaping and grounds maintenance contracts. He is outgoing, reliable, an effective communicator and passionate horticulturalist who enjoys sharing his love of plants/ trees and all things outdoors. Skilled in project management, staff development, good customer service and leads by example. With a Bachelor of Applied Science Horticulture (B.A.Sc.) and Fdsc Landscape Management from Writtle University College, Neil is a Contracts Manager for Atlantes Landscapes.

Matt’s background is working with successful start-ups and established businesses alike. A thirty year veteran of the IT and telecoms industry and CEO of a nationwide technology company, Matt provides advice, best practice and investment to growing businesses. Recognising the expansion possibilities for Atlantes, Matt joined the business as a non-executive director and works closely with the management team to help grow the company as it enters its next phase of development. Matt has grown businesses from start up to multi-million pound organisations and is advising Atlantes Landscapes on strategy as it quickly becomes a leading and highly innovative player in the landscaping and maintenance markets.

Denise is an Architect and Interior Designer expert in Residential and Retail Design with more than thirty years experience in all stages, from inception to completion. Highly experienced in producing detailed tender drawing packages, client and site liaison. With a strong passion and appreciation for design and details in the residential and commercial sectors. Expert in design management and in leading design teams, Denise is responsible for the Atlantes Marketing, Events and equally contributes on the design packages.

James has been in the industry for approx. 12 years and is Merrist Wood trained. Before moving to Devon James worked for high profile companies in Surrey managing some incredible projects. He has been involved in the construction of celebrity gardens and gold medal winning shows in London.

James came to Atlantes with a wealth of experience and now heads up one of the teams.

Joseph joined Atlantes in its infancy and has grown from strength to strength. He has been trained in the installation of swimming pools and landscaping and now heads up a team at Atlantes Landscapes providing high end projects. He is a very personable chap and is always willing to go that extra mile.

Chris is our design consultant who has 15 years experience in the Landscape & Horticulture industry both practically and working on high end design projects. He has a BSc (Hons) Garden Design from Sparsholt College and has worked across the South of England, now running his own garden design company in Bath. Sustainability drives all of Chris’ designs and we can rely on him to bring bold, creative ideas to our schemes that work perfectly for the homeowner and the wider environment. Getting the layout of the design is the starting point, but knowing how to pull it together with materials and planting is another – Chris is an expert horticulturalist and delivers beautiful and highly detailed planting designs that bring all of our gardens to life.

Ben has been part of the Atlantes Landscapes team for more than three years and has progressed through the ranks from labourer to landscape operative and now, under the guidance of Neil, to Trainee Maintenance Team Leader. Ben has gained a lot of knowledge and experience in the years with Atlantes and is a highly valued team member. He is a personable and friendly chap with a good sense of humour.

Maya is the Atlantes team’s sheep dog. She is always alert and rounding up the team when they are “misbehaving”.
